Black fur stepped out of the leaders den as he let out a loud yawn and stretched his long legs. Shaking out his fur, Skystar. The youngest leader looked around and smiled, the sun was barely rising. Kits queens and others were still sleeping, but something was on his mind. He sat down outside his den and looked up at the sky thinking of his two dead mates. Rosestar, she was leader of a different clan, and Hailstar the old leader of Hauntedclan. He sighed and shook his head thinking about them, as well as he and Rosestars kits. He had grown lonely without them and missed them much. |

"Hello, Skystar," Cherryleaf meowed. She wasn't being her usual hyper self; rather the medicine cat was being rather mature for once. It was how she got when she was treating a serious injury. "Something wrong?" Cherryleaf asked, padding forward and sitting in front of the leader, her green eyes narrowed. |

The leader looked "Ah Cherryleaf, good morning." he mewed looking at the medicine cat with his ocean blue eyes "Do not worry Cherryleaf, all is well with me. I am just thinking of my dead mates, Rosestar and Hailstar, and my kits" he mewed too her his eyes looking down at the ground

Cherryleaf dipped her head to Skystar, " Good morning to you, too." After listening for a few more moments, Cherryleaf continued, "I'm sure they watch you with love from SpiritClan. Someday, when your time comes, you'll be able to join them, Skystar." The medicine cat mewed. Cherryleaf tipped her head to the side, "maybe some hunting will take your mind off things?"
(You know what would be amusing? If Cherry and Sky became mates..XD His third forbidden mate, lol.) |

He looked at the she-cat "Oh im pretty sure Hailstar when too the other side but im sure Rosestar is watching me up there. I miss her the most, Hailstar not so much due too the issues I had with her. Sure a hunt will be nice, You and me were put on dawn patrol anyway" he purred too the she-cat

Cherryleaf's eyes widened slightly at what Skystar said about Hailstar, but she narrowed them once again and simply nodded. "Dawn patrol, huh?" Cherryleaf repeated, tone bringing out the confusion behind her words. "Are we that low on cats?" A few moments of thinking brought on a new suggestion, "well, I suppose I could find herbs. I'll race you to the deepest part of the territory!" The medicine cat's eyes lit up and she bolted out of camp, not waiting for an answer from Skystar. |

"Ya its just you me the queens the deputy and the kits no apprentices even" he mewed "Oh your on" said the long legged tom laughing he dashed out of camp after the medicine cat and then wondered Why the deepest part? OH! More herbs down there duh! he thought silently too himself

Cherryleaf slowed to a stop in the heart of HauntedClan's territory. She glanced around at the dark forest that consisted mostly of pines, her nose twitching, capturing the overwhelming scents that the forest gave off. However, she searched mainly for two scents that were those of two imperative herbs: poppy seeds and catmint. Poppy seeds, as most cats knew, for they'd probably heard it whenever they were sick or injured, numbed pain and caused cats to become drowsy. Catmint was very important for it was one of the only cures to whitecough, which could turn to greencough if not treated well or soon enough. "Skystar, what were they like; your mates?" Cherryleaf asked, not knowing if he heard or not.
She knew it was none of her business, but Cherryleaf couldn't quite help but be rather curious as to what Skystar's mates of the past were like. |

Skystar stumbled too a stop next too her "Rosestar and Hailstar? Will you knew Hailstar she was the old leader of Fogclan, I often sneaked out too see her but soon she left me and moons after died, but she was a sweet girl, not the one I was looking for though. Rosestar on the other hand, I miss her. She was the best she-cat even though she was from Snowclan. She was the one I loved the most. Me and her, had a litter of five. Of course they are missing now, but they were still the best. They took after their mother." he mewed "But now they are all gone as well as my mates and ive been alone sense" he said

Cherryleaf glanced over at Skystar, her green gaze widened, "they sound nice. I'm sorry that all happened to you, Skystar. I hope that someday you find another she-cat that's perfect for you." The light brown tabby licked her paw for a moment, feeling embarrassed for what she'd said, and continued her search for poppy seeds and catmint.
After not finding either herb from several minutes of looking, Cherryleaf padded over to Skystar and sat by him again. "I give up. Shall we continue our patrol?" |

"Not many herbs are here yet Cherryleaf, sure. We shall continue, I say hit by Fogclan first go ahead do hunting and border" said the black tabby tom as he looked at her his eyes shinning "Or if you want too do other, we can. Your leader I say" he purred

"I don't care. I'd rather not go wherever alone, though. You're a pretty cool leader, Skystar, and medicine cats do have to be somewhat close to the leaders for Clan matters." Cherryleaf meowed, feeling the slightest bit embarrassed. However, the she-cat tried her best not to show it. "Shall we go, then? You're in the lead, Skystar." After her meow, Cherryleaf let out a purr, "if I wanted to be leader, I probably would've tried my best to go for it. I think Cherryleaf sounds better than Cherrystar, though. Besides, like I said, you're a good leader." |
